Iseult, how's your research going? Do you need any help? I don't dare to hope that you've already found something that would explain why we weren't present at Searlait's little meeting.
I've been watching everyone, but no one is acting like they remember it at all. Which would run consistent with what Prudence and Patience have said, as well as everyone in the group on these books. But a few of them seemed to notice that I was paying attention, and ... they certainly didn't seem very pleased with that knowledge. This isn't the first time that they've gotten annoyed by any of us trying to find out what's happening, but it did seem a bit more acute, this time.
I suppose it's that the outsiders have them on edge. I know that I would be, if I didn't know everything that I do about who they are and what's happening.
